US Olympians take center stage in 'Stars on Ice' opening night

Seriously fun assignment. Shot the opening night of "Stars on Ice," somewhat of a victory tour for the United States Figure Skating Team after returning from South Korea last month, at Germain Arena in Fort Myers. Skaters included media darling Adam Rippon, the always-adorable sibling duo of Alex and Maia Shibutani, gold medalist duo Meryl Davis and Charlie White, Ashley Wagner, Nathan Chen, Jason Brown, Bradie Tennell, Karen Chen, and Madison Hubbell and Zachary Donohue.

The aftermath of Hurricane Irma

Coverage from the days following Hurricane Irma's destruction to Naples and the rest of Southwest Florida. Many families were forced to live in condemned trailers with no where else to go. Local restaurants suffered massive damage. Out of state retirees returned to find their second homes destroyed. Major League Soccer club New York City FC spent a week in the off season training at FGCU. On the team's final day in Fort Myers, NYCFC played the FGCU men's soccer team in an exhibition game. FGCU women's basketball reaches 2016 WNIT championship

FGCU women's soccer earns first-ever NCAA win, falls in second round

The FGCU women's soccer team made history this season after earning its sixth regular season conference championship, fourth Atlantic Sun tournament title and first-ever NCAA win. 

FGCU defeated USF in Tampa in the first round with a 2-1 win. A week later, No. 24 FGCU fell to No. 18 Duke, 2-0. (Photos published in News-Press and Eagle News)

UConn women's basketball dominates Gulf Coast Showcase in Fort Myers

I was approached by the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay to be hired as a photographer for the championship game between UConn (yes, UConn) and Green Bay. Interestingly enough the game was played on my birthday and (cheesy as it is) what better way to spend a few hours of your birthday than doing what you love - and getting paid for it?

Little League, Little League, and more Little League

Spent most of the summer at my internship with The News-Press covering Little League championships all across Fort Myers, battling rain delays, overly enthusiastic parents and more weather delays. While it wasn't the most glamorous assignment, it was actually (dare I say) fun to watch. Here's some of my favorite shots from my summer of Little League. 

NFL players participate in offseason training camp in Naples

Several NFL players came down to Naples to train with the Ignition Endurance camp to get into shape before season. I got to go down to Naples and shoot them in action. The program featured Luke Keuchly of the Carolina Panthers, John Conner of the New York Giants, Winston Guy of the Jacksonville Jaguars, D.C. Jefferson of the Carolina Panthers, and Charles Clay of the Miami Dolphins.

Extreme Volleyball visits Naples

This was one of my first assignments with The News-Press. A local high school player qualified to play against professional sand volleyball players at the Extreme Volleyball Professionals tour that came to Vanderbilt Beach in Naples. Read the story here.
